This web site will show you the true colors of Malverne NY, it will show how they welcome you to a beautiful place to start or continue a family. Little do you know the day you buy your house it all changes. Not only will the taxes double but they will find ways to give you tickets and violations to triple your taxes. Your asking yourself why they would do this, I ask the same questions. I’ve been in Malverne 5 years and it did not get any easier. I wake up in the morning with $25 to $100 in tickets on my cars. I have been threatened nicely and told by the village they don’t want me here, why did you buy a house here. Well, a little late for that!!! I’ve sent letters and tried to make an appointment to speak with the Mayor, never yet to hear back from them. I tried pulling permits for a driveway to get my cars on my property and was denied. When I say I can go on and on believe it. I am going out of my way so the people know Malverne is not what it looks. If you were not born here or you don’t have connection with any one up in the ranks... your screwed... I imagine if you donate a lot of money to the police, fire department, emergency unit and every other donations I get in the mail it will get better, I tried and I’m honest so I will say it did get a little better but did not go away. I hope this site helps you make any decisions on what you are looking to do. If anyone can help me please send me an email. I am so desperate I have came down to the web.

ReplyDeleteI wonder what type of investigation they put into complaints lodged by the public? Do they have an Internal Affairs and if not, who handles serious misconduct on there actions. Do they have any type of review board for complaints of a less serious manner and if not who handles those complaints? This sounds like some Dept from the 50's down in the deep south that run the neighborhood with an iron fist. If I was living in this town and I became subject to the wrath of the Dept I would definitely contact the Newsday writer who printed the articles you posted. Be careful and know that most police are there to help, just a few rotten apples abuse there authority. Good luck in your endeavors and be careful.
Thanks for the post...Unfortunately, Incorporated villages such s Malverne do not have an Internal Affairs unit to investigate such complaints and misconduct. I was personally told that the Mayor does not handle issues such as mine and all matters need to be addressed directly to the Chief of Police or Traffic Commissioner. I have done that numerous times and nothing ever came of it....and several attempts to contact local papers have resulted in absolutely nothing as well. I'm hoping posting the site and the blogs will get me somewhere. And you're absolutely correct about the manner in which the village is being run....more like an incorporated MAFIA than anything. That is true and now that you brought it to my attention I will add this on the web site. Also know that I can’t get in to details but I have more than a hand full of Police Officers in my family. You are right, I have more positive feedback then negative dealing with Police Officers. I just never experienced it in Malverne. There may be some Officers in Malverne that agree with me but we both know they will never say so.
